Amy Broline Sims is a fourth generation Austinite who remembers when Austin was just a sleepy university city in the middle of Texas with live music and good Tex-Mex. She has seen firsthand how the city has matured and why it has become one the nation’s most desirable places to live. You could say real estate is in Amy’s DNA – beginning with her great-grandfather who bought and sold land in Austin when it was still a small town, to her grandfather who helped shape the Austin Board of Realtors in the 1950s, to her parents who are active real estate investors in Austin. It is her passion and also her profession. Prior to real estate, Amy worked as a management consultant for Accenture and later as a negotiation consultant for Vantage Partners, the pioneers in “win-win” negotiation and the leading voices in relationship management. At Vantage, she was mentored by Bruce Patton, author of negotiation best seller Getting to Yes, an experience that continues to shape the way Amy approaches each and every negotiation. The knowledge and expertise Amy gained from these experiences have served her clients and her well in her real estate career, and no doubt will continue to do so in the future.
In addition to invaluable local knowledge, Amy brings first-hand experience after living in various locations throughout Austin, including Northwest Hills, Balcones Park, Westlake Hills, Rollingwood, Crestview, Tarrytown, and Lakeway. Her intuitive nature allows her to successfully match her client’s lifestyle desires and goals with the right neighborhood and property, saving them time and frustration. She is respected for her integrity, clear communication, and responsiveness, and has developed a reputation for “finding the impossible” – one of her specialties and favorite things about the process.
Amy and her fellow Austin-native husband, Jonathan, live in the Northwest Hills area with their three young children. They are active in supporting the community through their involvement at Christ Church of Austin, Highland Park Elementary, and their online tea business, teaembassy.com. When she is not helping clients, Amy can be found chasing her three children up and down the beautiful hills of Cat Mountain, relaxing with a cup of tea, practicing yoga at Studio Mantra, or writing.
