Mellisa Reeves

Mellisa's love for real estate began in 2006 when she left the mortgage industry to work for a local brokerage owner in Portland, OR and ended up managing his real estate team and construction business.  With the knowledge gained from these experiences, Mellisa went on to co-found a thriving boutique brokerage in Portland and become known for deeply connecting with clients and bringing high-level skill and attention to complex real estate transactions.

 

With almost 2 decades of experience as a agent, investor and designer in urban and rural settings, Mellisa offers her clients a unique and comprehensive skill set.  Her expertise in construction management, interior design, rental operations and real estate negotiation has helped hundreds of clients achieve their goals, from first time homebuyers to seasoned investors.

 

Mellisa is often considered a "doula" of many realms - as a trained birthworker and transitions coach she has also spent many years supporting clients and friends through the big moments in life.  In fact, she has one client to whom she has sold a home, attended their birth and officiated their wedding!  

 

After moving to Austin in 2021 and falling in love with this city, Mellisa spent a few years focusing on interior design and project management for residential and short term rental properties.  She is thrilled to be expanding and to share her gifts with the local community.  Clients love her for the ability to balance a high-level strategic approach with a lot of warmth and connection.  Her goal is to help her clients feel at ease, informed and empowered at every stage of the process.

 

Mellisa grew up on a farm in northern Canada, and as the oldest of 10 kids, she learned how to work hard, lean on others and enjoy the simple life. As a lifelong musician and lover of sharing the joy of music, she is excited to be joining the ROOTS Residential team which is abundant with musical talent. Mellisa lives in South Austin with her teenage son Aiden and 7 year old daughter Etney.  She loves spontaneous hangs with good friends, being outdoors, making music and traveling with her kids.
